In the firearms industry, Kim currently serves as Chairperson of the Import / Export Committee for the National Shooting Sports Foundation, helping coordinate industry efforts to improve U.S. import and export regulations and reduce unnecessary burdens on firearm exporters and importers.

Before founding KMP Global Consulting, Kim had a long and distinguished career with Ruger Firearms. During her tenure, she directed Ruger’s International Department for 15 years and later served as Director of Export / ATF Compliance and Security, as well as an ITAR Empowered Official.
At Ruger, Kim was responsible for corporate oversight of export and ATF firearms compliance across a major multi-facility manufacturer. Her work included building and maintaining export and ATF compliance programs, developing internal training and education programs, working directly with U.S. government agencies, and reporting compliance matters to executive leadership and the Board of Directors Risk Oversight Committee.
