December 24, December 25, and December 26 are NOT considered business days for NICS waiting-period purposes.

That means if you’re counting days for a NICS delay, these dates do not count toward the statutory waiting period. Full stop.

Federal regulations control the NICS business-day count
State and potentially local holidays are excluded from the NICS business-day count IN ADDITION TO Federal holidays
State-specific waiting periods still apply (if applicable)
