Lauren Chiafullo, Chief Executive Officer
Lauren Chiafullo is the CEO of FFLGuard and the steady hand on the wheel when compliance chaos hits. With 20+ years of experience running operations where mistakes aren’t an option, she’s built FFLGuard into the industry’s go-to authority for regulatory guidance that actually works in the real world.
Lauren doesn’t do fluff, buzzwords, or “hope for the best.” She builds systems, enforces accountability, and makes sure clients stay two steps ahead of regulators, rule changes, and surprises out of D.C. Her background in high-stakes litigation and governance means she knows how things break — and how to keep them from breaking in the first place.
Since co-founding and leading FFLGuard in 2008, Lauren has overseen the growth and modernization of a nationwide compliance program serving a diverse portfolio of federally regulated clients. She directs all administrative and operational functions of the organization, including strategic planning, budgeting, internal controls, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Under her leadership, FFLGuard has earned a reputation for disciplined execution, client-focused service, and practical compliance solutions that scale with business growth.
Prior to FFLGuard, Lauren held senior roles within some of the nation’s most respected law firms, including Gibbons P.C., Shearman & Sterling LLP, and Budd Larner. As a Managing Clerk and Paralegal Supervisor, she led large-scale litigation operations, supervised multidisciplinary legal teams, and directed complex e-discovery and regulatory compliance efforts. This foundation in litigation support, risk management, and legal process design continues to inform her pragmatic, detail-driven approach to executive leadership.
Lauren is also deeply committed to governance and community leadership. She currently serves as President of the Lake Muskoday Homeowners Association, where she leads board governance, financial stewardship, capital planning, and multi-committee coordination while advancing long-term infrastructure and environmental initiatives. Her leadership emphasizes transparency, fiscal responsibility, and collaborative decision-making.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with concentrations in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University. Beyond her professional work, Lauren is actively involved in youth athletics, education, and charitable organizations, including long-standing volunteer support for youth sports programs, school fundraising initiatives, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
