Q: We’ve just received an firearm transfer from another FFL, along with their copy of FFL they provide a sales invoice as well. Nowhere on their invoice showing their business name, and nowhere on their FFL showing their DBA name either. Now, if they have not provided us any invoice, I wouldn’t hesitate to enter the firearm in our bound books based on their FFL. I would have copied everything on their FFL to our bound book but there is also invoice and two information is a mixed matched. I also called and talked with an agent from local ATF and he too confirmed with me that their DBA must be present on copy of their FFL. I also know that if I was to ask this question 10 different ATF agents I will receive 50/50 ratio answer back. Therefore, I wanted to reach out to you guys to get the final answer so that I can complete this transfer correctly.
