Q: We had an individual purchase a firearm through Gunbroker and wanted to pick it up from our shop. We contacted the seller, who asked us for a copy of our FFL. We asked him for a copy of his FFL, and he said he didn’t have one. After further questions, we determined that the seller was using an FFL for a company called “GT Transfers” which he was unaffiliated with. We contacted GT Transfers about this transaction, and the owner proceeded to become very angry with us. He said that he put his FFL on the internet for anyone to use, and that this was perfectly allowable. Due to the questionable nature of the situation, we decided to deny this transfer. Did we do the right thing?
