Q: Due to a change in personnel, I have been working with the A&D books along with the Form 4473 records. While reviewing our records we come across a handgun sold 5/28/12 from NC to a person in WV. The transaction was completed by a sales clerk that is no longer with our company. The person the handgun was sold to had a valid State of West Virginia Concealed Pistol/Revolver License. It is my understanding that we cannot sell a handgun to a person who lives outside the state of NC, unless it is transferred directly to an FFL dealer in their state. Do you have any suggestions regarding what if anything we should do about this transaction to protect our FFL License?
