Q: Regarding the Abramski decision – does this prohibit the purchase of a firearm as a gift: A man enters the store and says he wants to purchase a special edition rifle we have displayed. As he is completing the 4473 paperwork he casually comments: “I’m donating this as a raffle prize for my local VFW post, we should be able to raise a fair bit of money if everyone buys a ticket for $10 so we can get the Courtesy Van fixed to transport the older guys to their VA appointments.” Does this statement place any burden upon us to decline the sale, as we now have knowledge he intends to deliver the firearm to another person?
