Q: It has been common practice for at least Texas Department of Motor Vehicles to either cut the corner or cut the top off an Identification Card and or Driver License to render it invalid while you are awaiting a replacement for address change or any change in general change information. While i can not find that written on any State level website saying if they are cut they are no longer valid, has FFLGuard heard of this? We have even seen customers hole punch their card for storage. Does this render it invalid as an acceptable form of Identification? We do the safest thing and do not accept any ID type that has been altered/deformed.
