PRIVATE – Shotgun Blasters

posted on January 18, 2019

Q: Caller has a problem with suppressors regarding a transfer a customer stated he did not make.

A: FFLGuard Subject Matter Expert, Rick Vasquez, had a long conversation with Shawn.  What occurred is Jeremy Hubnick while working for Shawn got an FFL and used Shawn’s address for his business license.  Jeremy sold some silencers that actually belonged to Shawn without informing Shawn, expecting to Form 3 them to himself later.

When the approved Form 4s came in to Jeremy Hubnick the customer called Shawn and asked for the transfer.  This is how Shawn discovered the transfers.  Since there are approved form4s Shawn is calling Jeremy and the customer into the store.  He will Form 3 the silencer to Jeremy and Jeremy can transfer it to the customer.  Shawn is doing this so the customer does not get screwed.   As soon as these transfers are complete I advised him to call ATF and report Hubnick for using his address and to get it corrected.
