Q: We have an idea on how to run background checks on new employees. We would like to have the employee purchase a gun and run a background check. If they pass the NICS check, they get the job. Otherwise they don’t get the job. The employee would then return the gun and the 4473 would be filed separately from the rest with some kind of notation on it saying “customer declined to pick up firearm.” Is this legal?
