Q: We had a costumer that has done business with us for years and has had no problems buying firearms and passing background checks. Approximately a year ago, we received a firearm for him and when we ran a background check he was denied. The customer filled out an appeal paper and was informed that, although it has been a year already, it may take that much longer if it is ever completed due to budget cuts. The customer has had no problems passing checks at other dealers but we will not sell him anything until this is resolved. What is the proper way to assist this costumer in resolving this issue?
