Q: I just received a call from the ATF regarding a multiple sale form I faxed over recently. I have been using the guidelines of 5 business days on a Monday through Friday basis instead of calendar days. We were under the assumption that the 5 day grouping was for ATF business days, when in fact, it should have been for our company’s business days. Since our Phoenix location is open 7 days a week, we can use 5 calendar days as the guidelines for grouping Multi sales. Basically, this just means that I was filling out Multi Sale forms for sales that were unnecessary. The ATF Agent who called advised me to change the way we’re doing them immediately and start using the 5 calendar days grouping. Since our Chino Valley store is closed on Sunday and Monday, they will use Tuesday through Saturday as their business days when calculating multi sale groupings.
