Q: We have have a very consistent, frequent shopper. It has been mentioned to us and presumed that he is a “gun-show-guy”. He is often trying to barter us in price–and then we guess he is selling these items at a gun show. We haven’t done anything regarding this because it has all been hear-say. Now, we have found an item he recently purchased from us on arms list. It is marked up substantially from his purchase price. And he hasn’t owned it for long. According to what I’ve read, it could be said that he is “engaged in the business” without a license. My questions: a) should i inform ATF/law enforcement? b) are we obligated to stop selling to him? c) should i attempt to educate the customer? d) what if any liability do we have?
