Q: What should our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) be for first aid and Medical emergencies? At current we provide our Range Safety Officer’s (RSO’s) with basic band aids and anti-biotic gel. The question has been posed should we be providing our staff with more advanced supplies such as Stop Clot, Tourniquets and large wound care sponges? And if we provide those items what type of training should we send them for? What is your suggestion of best practice for injuries beyond simple cuts?
