Q: Recently we had to destroy a couple of firearms in our gunsmithing inventory because they were unable to be repaired/the cost of the repairs were greater than the value of the firearm. When logging the disposition of these firearms, do we enter Destroyed and the date it was destroyed? Or does an explanation as to why they were destroyed need to also be included in the disposition? Also, we have been using the NICS E-Check system for our background checks, we have been filing the “Confirmation Acknowledged” page with the supporting documents corresponding to that NICS Check. Is this the proper procedure for filing the NICS background resolution information?
