Q: Would an AR-15 type lower receiver marked with the words “pistol” next to model in the attached web link be logged in any differently than any other AR-15 receiver as receiver and subsequently other on 18 of the 4473? https://aeroprecisionusa.com/aspx/store/productdetail.aspx?pid=107 Does the customer stating the firearm will be a pistol build effect legal age of sale and or effect classification change on 18? The term ?Pistol? means a weapon originally designed, made, and intended to fire a projectile (bullet) from one or more barrels when held in one hand, and having: a chamber(s) as an integral part(s) of, or permanently aligned with, the bore(s);and a short stock designed to be gripped by one hand at an angle to and extending below the line of the bore(s). Rifle builds can not be turned into a pistol without going through NFA but pistols can be turned into rifles at any point in the life of the firearm without going NFA. If this logic is correct why would a company mark a lower receiver as Pistol although in the current picture pistol is next to the word model.
