Licensee – Trace Requests

posted on January 18, 2019

Q: We had a trace request for three firearms come in over the phone on February 10th. We responded via email with information on two of the firearms. The third firearm, from 2003, we could not find. We did not send any information regarding this firearm at all. We received an email response back from ATF saying “thanks” and nothing else. We have not heard anything further regarding the trace requests. What should we do about the third firearm?
