Q: We had a situation a couple weeks ago where a customer came in and purchased a Remington 700 and went to shoot it on our range. It was defective, so we swapped him for a new one. Because he hadn’t left our property, we just did a serial number correction on the 4473 and our A&D but did not do a new 4473 or new background check. Was this okay? Do we need to do anything else with this transaction? I’ve attached a copy of Page 3 of the 4473 in question.
