HD Case #15090 (Guns Galore f/k/a Osakis General Store)

posted on January 18, 2019

Q: Hi Jim: I have a few guns that our gunsmith can’t fix and he said need to go back to the manufacturer. So the guns are being disposed to the manufacturer, then when they come back in, we will reacquire them and then dispose of them again to the owner. Since the guns are leaving my possession will the owners have to do a 4473 even though they were the original person who left them off. I know that is the reason we are doing them for the gunsmith work that came over from the General Store was because the guns went from them to guns Galore. So if they go from guns galore to the manufacturer and back, will the owner have to do a 4473?? Just trying to keep it all straight.
