Q: A lady has had a pistol sent to us as a transfer. When she got to question 11h on the 4473 she had a question. She was divorced in 2015. In the terms of the divorce, there was language used in the divorce that prohibited harassment of either party. While in the store, she contacted her lawyer by phone (who also happens to be a local judge) that drafted the divorce. He told her that it “wasn’t an official restraining order that would affect her ability to buy firearms.” How should we proceed?
