Q: We are currently filing the completed 4473 documents and background check approval in our records. Our question is with respect to the copies of the photo ID and any other supporting ID records such as hunting license, etc. The documents are filed separately from the form 4473. How long must these documents be stored? Do they need to be available for inspection? In our most recent inspection, we were not asked to provide any of the supporting ID information.
