Form 4473 – Misc. Questions

posted on January 18, 2019

Q: 1) 20a (18a)– Identification If the driver’s license is a commercial DL, does 20a (18a) need to say MN drivers license commerical? Or can MN DL suffice? 2) box 26 and 27 (24 and 25) (manufacture/importer/model) We have a shipping department that receives and inputs the firearms into our Celerant system. However, when the salesmen are selling that same gun, and filling out the 4473 paperwork, should they fill out box 26 and 27 (24 and 25) off of what the Celerant database or what the actual gun has imprinted onto the barrel and/or frame? I ask this because sometimes the two do not match, because shipping isn’t as familiar with firearms as some of the salesmen and are inputting the wrong data into our system. When I am reviewing the 4473, should I then correct the Celerant database side to match what the salesman wrote on the 4473, or should I have the salesman correct their 4473 to match what our receiving department entered into Celerant?
