Q: We have a large online store and shipped a firearm to a dealer that a customer requested. We have proof of delivery and the owner of the FFL signed for the package. The customer waited three months before going to the dealer to pick up the firearm. Upon arriving at the dealer the customer realized the dealer had closed down and is no longer an FFL. What recourse does this person have? What recourse do we have as the shipping dealer? We have tried to contact the owner of this closed FFL via social media and have had no response.
