A&D – Use of the NOTES Column for Repair and Consignment

posted on January 18, 2019

Q: Should we note in the A&D Book Notes section all firearms that are brought in for cleaning, service and consignment? As they were not sold by us, we don?t have any 4473 paperwork on these firearms. Is this allowed by the ATF for us to make these notes for the non-4473 firearms? And if it is, should be be putting these notes in the A&D Book or does that open us up for more scrutiny by the ATF?
