4473 – No 4473 Used in Transfer

Q: An individual asked us how to correct a purchase he made in the past. He obtained a pistol without a transfer via FFL or via correct paper work. He subsequently learned that it is was an illegal transaction. He wants to correct this and do it the right way. He says that the person has passed away and so did his wife. He said that he has the bill of sale. What are the legal steps needed to be taken by us and by him.
