Q: Is an active duty military personnel required to provide an “off base residence address”, i.e. identification card or driver’s license? Active orders only state the base in which personnel is stationed at. Under ATF Regulation 478.11 defines State of Residence: “If an individual is on active duty as a member of the Armed Forces, the individual’s State of residence is the State in which his or her permanent duty station is located.”
