Q: We use Colosseum POS software for handling our firearms inventory. Occasionally, it will assign identical internal catalogue numbers to two different firearms. We usually discover this before the firearm is sold, but recently, we sold a firearm and the software added a different firearm that had been assigned the same number to the 4473. We tried to correct it, but it added that firearm to the 4473 again (the 4473 now shows two identical incorrect firearms). How do we correct this error? Is there anything we can do outside of software changes to stop this from happening?
