Q: I have a customer that came in and filled out form 4473 stating that he is a citizen of Guyana. He didn’t have his green card (only a copy), so we cancelled the transaction until he could come back with the information needed. A few days later he came back to get his money and spoke with a different associate and told them he was a United States Citizen, Proceeded to fill out a new form 4473 and was approved immediately. I am unsure if I should proceed with this transaction considering he told me originally he is a citizen of Guyana. How should I proceed? He is currently on a 3 day hold and will be able to release the firearm to him on Friday.
