The role of FFLGuard’s Field Operations Group (“FOG”), currently run at the direction of Scott L. Braum and his law firm, Scott L. Braum & Associates, LTD., is to serve as a conduit between (1) FFLGuard’s National Coordinating Counsel (“ NCC ”), (2) clients participating in the FFLGuard program (“the Program”) who are involved in any way with BATF or a BATF inspection – or – who have any questions or concerns related to any areas of the law that would be enforced by BATF, and (3) specialized counsel (or para-professionals) acting on their behalf.

The FOG acts as the primary advocate for FFLGuard clients with BATF’s Field Offices. The FOG Director routinely staffs the Program with FFLGuard counsel and professionals in the field – all with BATF-related experience – who can be available for rapid response as needed; attends and litigates certain revocation hearings and warning conferences conducted by BATF against FFLGuard clients, and otherwise handles any other BATF-related matters, all at the discretion of the NCC; oversees the information disseminated to FFLGuard clients through the Clients-Only Website (www.fflguard.org) and periodically issued “eBlast” emails; personally handles any on-site training sessions conducted at the request of the FFLGuard client; interacts with any FFLGuard client dealing with any area of the law enforced by BATF; interfaces daily with the Special Operations Branch on field issues as they relate to FFLGuard clients with a critical/compromised status; and maintains oversight responsibility of FFLGuard client compliance with the Program Terms and Conditions, as well as the FFLGuard Law Plus Guidelines.
