** eAdvisory #5 — Renzulli Brothers Successful in Defense of Industry Again **

** John and Chris Renzulli, both accomplished practitioners who work with us at FFLGuard, are successful yet again in defense of the industry... ** Greetings: As many of you know, the amount that you spend annually in your Yearly Fee goes in part to me to oversee the FFLGuard program, but in majority to retain a select team of counsel, subject matter experts and professionals to serve "on staff" at FFLGuard in defense of your business. Two of the lawyers we are aligned with in FFLGuard are John and Chris Renzulli, who are both long-time, pro-firearms industry litigators with strong ties to manufacturers, distributors and retailers.  One manufacturer/distributor in particular, uses the Renzulli's as their primary "go to" defense team... GLOCK.  As such, the Renzulli's recently obtained a judgment in favor of Glock under the terms of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act.  A copy of the release describing this case can be found here. It is important that we stay in alignment with strong firearms counsel like John and Chris Renzulli in order to keep FFLGuard powerful.  I have known both of these gentlemen for well over a decade, and their knowledge of the industry and the law is eclipsed only by their integrity and loyalty to their friends.  To this end, we are lucky to have them as OUR friends.

** eAdvisory #4 — Other Compliance Related Opportunities **

** FFLGuard to deliver "Bonus Points" to any client who participated in an industry or governmental compliance initiative... **

We recently issued a Press Release dated April 10, 2012 that applauded the efforts of others who deliver compliance related initiatives to FFL's.  In that Press Release, FFLGuard stated that we would gladly provide a $500 credit on the first year of participation to any NEW client, and also deliver bonus points to any EXISTING client in FFLGuard, if the client delivers some evidence of attendance or participation in any compliance program offered by the industry or by the government.  Specifically, for existing clients, we will tack on a point -- good for one year -- to your 90 Point Law Plus Guidelines requirement for ongoing pro bono services in the case of an ATF audit.

Don't ever stop taking advantage of any compliance offerings out there.  Preventative medicine is what will keep your FFL healthy and viable.  And, at the same time, press the industry to address the sham that is the "ATF Revocation Hearing" and the so-called "Judicial Review" that is purported to be the fail-safe mechanism. That's what you join those fancy trade organizations to do for you!

** eAdvisory #1 — How to Access FFLGuard.org **

** We've created these "eAdvisory" emails to update you on FFLGuard specific items, unrelated to the substantive legal advice given in our eBlasts...**

It became time that we differentiated between the substantive, hard core, down and dirty legal advice that we deliver in our eBlasts and the more vanilla, informational, FFLGuard-specific updates related to the FFLGuard program itself.

For example, emails about changes at ATF, or related to the law or to firearms regulations, would and should be found as the substance of our eBlasts.  Legal advice found in these eBlasts are attorney-client privileged.  On the other hand, emails about how to log into the FFLGuard website, reminders on how to make the most of the program by utilizing the Basic Services available to you, and refreshers on how to log a HelpDesk case, have a different level of importance.  So which "flavor" of email is more or less important is for you to decide; the sure thing, however, is that these emails are substantively different nevertheless.

As a result, we have created the eAdvisory.  The content of these eAdvisory emails will solely be program related, and help you make the most of your yearly expenditure for FFLGuard.  The eAdvisory is a non-privileged email, and is simply general information like when the next client meeting will occur, why you should have our Internet Toolbar on your web browser, and what you will be able to do with our new iPhone/BlackBerry/Android app .

Now what is our first eAdvisory, you ask?

HOW DO I LOG ON TO THE 'NEW' FFLGUARD.ORG CLIENTS-ONLY WEBSITE?

Simple.  Go to www.fflguard.org and click on the "GET INFO" link.  Then enter your 4 digit client number and whatever email we took from you on sign-up.  It is usually the owner's email, or whomever signed the engagement documents when you joined.  Then hit SEND!

Assuming you have completed your CIS , and you have provided us with a copy of your FFL, and you don't owe us any moolah for Additional Services, your new log-in USERNAME and PASSWORD will be sent to you in a separate email.

Now go surf around the new FFLGuard.org website, and we'll let you know about other cool things you can do in there in future eAdvisory emails!
